Family Pictures

Axton did pretty well with his 1st professional pictures. I had the hardest time finding a black top for him and so we ended up buying this sweater that was for 6-9 months when he isn't even 3 months yet! It was a little big but it worked. Next time we will know to plan a little better though because by the time we started the pictures he was hungry and tired!

1st Family Trip- Las Vegas

Greg had a job interview in Las Vegas so his parents met us there! We went to Dick's Last Resort which is a fun place. They make you wear the hats they make for you and the waiters are rude, although with Axton, our waitress just couldn't find it in her to be mean to us. He's already winning over the hearts of women, boy am I in trouble! Axton is obviously the reasoning behind my hat. Greg 's is because he wanted his sandwich a certain way and wasn't afraid to let the waitress know! Axton is a very social person already and loves to be around lots of people. He loved seeing his Grandparents and will be so excited to see everyone at Christmas. While we were in Las Vegas we decided to go see the bridge they are building next to Hoover Dam. I'm not so sure I want to drive on it once it's finished!

Axton got to meet his cousin, Brooklynn, for the first time in October. He seemed so much smaller than her at the time so it will be fun to see them together at Christmas. From the sounds of it Axton is a bit fatter than her! Axton loves to be in his crib watching his mobile go round, especially the soccerball. It doesn't take him too long though to figure out that he is being put down for a nap and then he cries for a few minutes!
He doesn't like binkies but he sure does love his thumb! When going to bed he sticks his thumb in and then either rubs his head or holds his ear with his other hand until he falls asleep. It's so cute!
Daddy has become obsessed with camo and couldn't resist these overalls. When we first bought them they were huge but the chunker is growing into them fast! At his last doctors appointment he was almost 13 lbs and 23 in. long!
Axton loves to spend time with Daddy since he gets plenty of time with Mommy!! He is very aware of his surroundings and is amazing us all the time. He has managed to flip over several times already and we don't think it will be long until he is doing it regularly. Not bad for only being 2 months old!

For some reason this one got deleted from the other post so here is a picture of Axton in his tux for his baby blessing.
We can't get over how big his yawns are!! He is soo cute!! We are enjoying all of his little facial expressions and are looking forward to getting his smiles on camera! Axton was blessed on the 30 of September. He looked so cute in his little tux that his Grammy bought for him.

Axton was blessed on the 30th of September even though he was only two weeks old. We decided to do it this way so that most of our families could be there for it. He looked so cute in his little tux that Grammy bought for him.

Even though we got to leave the hospital Axton was confined to his Billibed for 4 more days. He didn't like it much and neither did we. We were glad to finally be rid of it!

Axton was born on Monday, September 17th, 2007. The doctors guessed he would weigh in the high 7's but ended up weighing a whopping 8 lbs 12 oz and was19 inches long. Labor went well although it lasted almost 17 hours!
The proud papa!!
On Tuesdsay we were planning on going home that night but Axton had other plans for us. His bilirubin count came in pretty high for how young he was so he had to be kept under the lights until Wednesday morning and then we were allowed to go home. Everyone was surprised that he had jaundice because he sure didn't look like it. It was hard for Mommy to not have him with her since he had been with her since he was born. She went through more withdrawals then he did!! It makes for cute pictures though!
Finally on Wednesday we got to go home! Daddy bought him the cute doggy. We'll see how attached he gets to hit since Greg seems to think it needs to go every with us!!

Axton Leavitt

Here is our baby boy!! All we need is a middle name for him and we are set! He sure is a kicker already and he will probably have our hands full by the time he can crawl. We are looking forward to all of it though.
